Imola Bereczk was born in 1974 in Hungary, and graduated in 1998 as a lawyer. For a longer period, she ran a printing company; later she tried her hand in the non-profit sector, becoming a tour guide and a garden designer. She has been writing prose and drama since 2018. Her short stories have been published in various Hungarian language anthologies and literary magazines, often winning prizes. In 2023, she was one of the finalists for the Guild of Theatre Dramaturgs, and her play was presented at the end of the year. Her favourite genres are absurdist short prose and drama.
