Here is a worldwide warning
The word “DID” will disappear
By six am tomorrow morning

                  It will not be found anywhere
                   On the web, in any dictionary
                   As if it was never even there

No more will we have to take
“My car I eventually did lose.”
Or “My promise I did break”                        

                    As “DID” slips away like a thief
                     Fellow poets rejoice with me
                      Let’s breathe a soft sigh of relief
